Coastal Carolina University Athletics

McKayla Wuensch arrived at Coastal Carolina in August of 2023 and is a Student-Athlete Academic Coordinator, supporting football, volleyball, and beach volleyball.

Prior to starting at Coastal, she was a post-graduate intern at the University of Georgia where she supported football student-athletes in an Academic Counselor role. She earned her M.S. inEducational Leadership, Sport Management from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Sport Management from Wichita State University. She was a Division I volleyball player at both institutions. During her time at UConn, she interned with their Academic Support Department. She also did an undergraduate internship with ShockerLIFE, Wichita State’s Student Athlete Development Department.

She is passionate about guiding student-athletes in their academic, athletic, and personal growth, while building strong campus connections and creating programs that celebrate their success on and off the field.
