Coastal Carolina began this week ranked 9th in the district and has moved up to 8th in the nation for Service Aces per game.
Coastal Carolina travelled to Charleston Southern on Tuesday night for the second of their two conference matches. Coastal won the match 3-0 (15-2, 15-8, 15-12). Coastal used a balanced attack and played everyone on the roster. Amy Bambenek led the team with 13 kills (.500 hitting %). Roberta Croteau had 10 kills (.562 hitting%). Autumn Staub had 9 kills (.538 hitting %) and 5 blocks (4 solo). Emma Prowse had 9 kills and Wendy Kutz added 4 (.428 %). Colette Pawlyk and Michelle Shepherd led the team in assists and each had two aces. Kari Jackson, April Cook, Amy O'Neil, and Nicole Burns also played.
Roberta Croteau has been nominated to the 1996 GTE Academic All-American Women's Volleyball Team.
