CONWAY, S.C.-- The Coastal Carolina volleyball team defeated Birmingham-Southern, 3-0 (30-25, 30-20, 30-25), Sunday afternoon in Kimbel Arena.

The Lady Chanticleers were led by senior Jeanne Lambert who had a season high 24 kills in 44 attempts for a hitting average of .545. Senior Katie Knutson had a double-double in kills (10) and digs (23). Reigining Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, Jennifer Hampton, had a career high seven service aces along with 48 assists and 11 digs.

Leading the way for Birmingham-Southern, (8-9) was Rachel Graff who had 12 kills, while Rachel Malmborg had 11 kills along with ten digs.

Coastal Carolina (9-5) hasnow won three in a row and seven of its last eight matches on the season.

The Lady Chants will next play at Radford on Friday at 7 p.m.
