CHARLESTON, SC — The Coastal Carolina women's cross country team claimed second place overall and placed five runners in the top 10 of the CCU Invitational, Saturday September 13, at Robber's Roost Golf Course in North Myrtle Beach.

UNC Asheville won the team crown as four of its runners claimed the top four spots overall, each finishing the course in 18:35 or under for a team total of 20 points. UNCA's Devon Nemire-Pepe earned the individual title with a time of 18:14. Coastal runners filled the next five spots, with Lindsey Kozlowski leading the pack with a time of 18:41, followed by Claudia Witte (18:51), Daneja Grandovec (18:52), Kim Nemergut (18:55), and Eileen Wicker (18:58). The Lady Chants's points total was 35, followed by Radford in third place with 89 points.

Next up the Lady Chants travel to the Great American Cross Country Festival in Raleigh, N.C., Friday September 26 at 5 p.m.
