Junior Jasmine Tyler (Jacksonville, Fla./Okaloosa C.C.) then made a big three-point play at 3:04, as it gave Radford’s leading scorer, Taryn Causey, her third foul. Freshman C.J. Coastal shot 40 percent in the first half, while holding Radford to just 25 percent from the field. Causey led Radford with seven points in the first half.

Coastal extended its halftime lead in the first five minutes of the second half. Junior Kim Turner (West Memphis, Ark./Hiwassee C.C.) hit a jumper to give CCU a 32-24 lead at 15:40. Coastal led by as many as 10 points on a fast break layup from Brown to Turner at 14:01. Radford made its run shortly thereafter as a layup from Kelli Dardon cut the lead to 39-37 at 7:10. Sophomore Alisha Dill (Johnson City, Tenn./Science Hill) hit two free throws to give CCU a 41-37 lead, but that would be it for the scoring for Coastal. A Shavon Earp layup tied the game at 41 at 3:41 and a free throw and three-point play by Causey extended the lead to 45-41. Darden hit a big layup at 1:29 gave Radford an eight-point lead and the Highlanders salted the victory with four free throws in the last minute.
