CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University baseball team has opened fall practice for the 2009-10 season at Watson Stadium/Vrooman Field. The Chanticleers will have team practice all the way up to the Pro Day and Chanticleer World Series in late October.

Seven position starters return from last year's roster, including All-Big South First Team selection Rico Noel (Lawton, Okla./Lawton) and Second Team selections Daniel Bowman (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) and Adam Rice (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Elgin C.C.). On the mound, the Chants return the 2009 Big South Pitcher of the Year in Cody Wheeler (Spotsylvania, Va./Spotsylvania) and All-Big South First Team honoree Anthony Meo (Cranston, R.I./Cranston West).
The Chanticleers will hold Pro Day and the Chanticleer World Series Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at Watson Stadium/Vrooman Field.
