CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Desmond Holloway had a career-high 25 points, including two foul shots with 1:01 left in double overtime that lifted Coastal Carolina to a 79-75 victory over Charlotte at the Charleston Classic on Sunday.

The Chanticleers (4-2) trailed 57-50 with four minutes to go when they rallied with a 12-5 run down the stretch. The spurt was capped by Kierre Greenwood's game-tying 3-pointer with 8 seconds left. Greenwood finished with 15 points, two assists and one steal.

Holloway had eight points in the two extra periods as Coastal Carolina took fifth place at 2-1 in the eight-team tournament.

Anthony Raffa finished with 17 points and four steals and hit 7-of-8 free throws in overtime.

Charlotte (2-3) held its final lead on Derrio Green's two free throws with 1:14 remaining. Trailing 77-75, Charlotte had a final chance. But they missed three field goals on two 3-pointers by Green and a jumper by An'Juan Wilderness.

Shamari Spears had 22 points to lead Charlotte, which went 1-2 at the tournament.

Charlotte shot 45.8 percent in the first half and got 10 points from Wilderness to lead 32-24 at halftime. Spears scored the opening basket of the second half to give the 49ers a 10-point lead, but Coastal answered with a 16-5 run to take its first lead of the game at 13:17 mark of the half on a layup from Holloway.

The victory gave Coastal Carolina its first ever win over an opponent from the Atlantic 10. The Chants entered the game 0-15 all-time against the league. In addition, it was the first ever win for Coastal Carolina over Charlotte in eight chances.

Coastal returns to action Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when the Chants welcome North Carolina Wesleyn to Kimbel Arena.
