Coastal Baseball in the Pros Update

Many former Chanticleers are currently playing professional baseball in the minor leagues. Here is an update on how they are doing this season.
Tyler Bortnick was named the Midwest League's Player of the Week after helping Bowling Green, the Low-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, to a 5-2 record on the week. Bortnick hit .444 with two home runs, three doubles and three RBI in the seven games. On the season, he is hitting .295 with 19 doubles, five home runs and 22 RBI.
Both David Sappelt and Mike Costanzo are currently playing for the Carolina Mudcats, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Sappelt is hitting .326 with eight doubles, four triples, three home runs and 24 RBI. Sappelt was 3-for-4 with two runs scored against Huntsville June 12. Costanzo is hitting .262 with eight doubles, four home runs and 22 RBI for the Mudcats. He was 2-for-5 with two RBI against Mississippi June 17.
Pete Andrelczyk currently is playing for Jupiter, the High-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. He is 1-1 with a 2.94 ERA and a save in 20 appearances with the Hammerheads. He struck out three in 1.1 innings pitched at St. Lucie June 9.
David Anderson has started the season at Aberdeen, the Short-Season A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Anderson is hitting .357 with three RBI and was 2-for-4 at Staten Island June 23.
Dock Doyle is playing at Savannah, the Low-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Doyle was 2-for-3 with a run scored against Kanapolis June 7.
Both Dom Duggan and Travis Risser are playing for the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League. Duggan has 15 stolen bases to go along with three doubles, two triples, a home run and 13 RBI. Risser is 3-2 with 25 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched.
John Mariotti is playing for Frederick, the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Mariotti is 2-2 with a 3.82 ERA and a save in 19 appearances for the Keys. He had three strikeouts in four innings pitched against Kinston May 21.
Nick McCully is playing for Batavia, the Short Season-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. He made his debut June 21 against State College and struck out six in five innings of work.
Luis Lopez is playing for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League. Lopez is hitting .250 with eight doubles, a home run and 14 RBI in 40 games this season.
Michael DeJesus is playing for the New Jersey Jackals in the Can-Am League. In 25 games, DeJesus has six doubles and a home run with six RBI. He also has a .349 on-base percentage.
