Women's Tennis Wins 6-1 At Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team ran its winning streak to six following its 6-1 victory over Wofford Sunday afternoon from Reeves Tennis Center.
The Chanticleers won the doubles point and grabbed a 1-0 lead despite losing the first match at the No. 3 position. Juniors Miki Bunea and Diana Mortlock answered with an 8-5 win at No. 2 over Sarah Evans and Julia Paulson before senior Lexi Bolesky and freshman Mikaela Kristofersson clinched the point with an 8-6 win over Haley Baird and Guinn Garcia at No. 1.
Bunea put Coastal ahead 2-0 with a 6-4, 6-0 singles win at No. 2 over Garcia, while freshman Maria Hesketh gave the Chants a 3-0 advantage following a 6-2, 6-2 win over Stephanie Cox at No. 6.
Bolesky clinched the win for Coastal win a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Emilia Milovanovic at No. 1 Mortlock turned in a 7-5, 6-0 win over Julia Paulson at No. 5, while Kristofersson defeated Sarah Evans 6-1, 7-5 at No. 4.
Coastal returns to action Wednesday at 2 p.m. when the Chanticleers travel to Wilmington, N.C., to take on UNC Wilmington.
