Both teams remained scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when Liberty's Meredith Crisante homered to center field to cut the Chanticleer lead to 2-1, but it would not be enough as Coastal took the first game.

With two outs, Kelly Strickland drew a walk and Sammi Shivock followed with a double down the left field line to bring Strickland home. Keely McMillon reached first on an error at shortstop and Shivock came home on a single to left field by Amber DePasquale for a 2-0 lead.
Pineda cut the lead to one at 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run over the left field fence, her seventh of the season.
Liberty added two more runs in the top of the fifth for a 4-1 lead. Ashley Bensinger started the inning off with a double to left center and Grace Nordan followed with a single to shortstop. Crisante hit into a fielder's choice to put runners at first and third after Nordan was called out on the play. Kaylee West brought home Bensinger with a single to right center and Cristante came home on a hit by Jenny Law.
