CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina University Department of Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has launched a holiday food drive to help the many individuals and families who are provided basic foods through area food banks as well as to assist with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Perishable and non-perishable food items may be dropped off through Friday, Dec. 21 in Arcadia Hall 102, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The holiday food drive is part of a Big South Conference community service initiative and competition among member schools that extends through the end of the spring 2013 semester. Winners will be determined based on the total weight of all donated food items.
