Final Stats

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team defeated Radford 6-1 Friday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.

Coastal remains unbeaten (6-0) while holding a 2-0 mark in the Big South Conference. Radford drops to 6-3 and 2-1 in the Big South.

The Chants swept the doubles portion of the match followed by four straight singles points to clinch the match.

Mikaela Kristofersson won the first singles match 6-2, 6-1 followed by Diana Mortlock from the No. 2 position winning 6-4, 6-1. Leading 3-0 the match was won by Maria Hesketh defeating her opponent 7-5, 6-2.

Coastal would win two of the next three matches played that included a 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 win for freshman Katie Fosnacht and a 6-4, 7-5 win for Miki Bunea.

The Chants return to the courts on Wednesday, March 7 when they host UNC Greensboro at 1:30.
