CONWAY - Liberty had four players finish with double figures in the scoring column as the Lady Flames downed Coastal Carolina 76-48 in a Saturday afternoon tilt inside The HTC Center.

Liberty improved to 13-5 (5-1 Big South) with the win led by Preseason All-Big South selection Devon Brown's 15 points and eight rebounds. Tolu Omotola scored 12 points for the Lady Flames, while Brittany Campbell and Ashley Rininger each chipped in 10.

AJ Jordan notched her 10th double digit scoring performance of the season as she led Coastal (7-9, 2-4 Big South) with 13 points and pulled down a team-high five rebounds. It was the third time in the last four games and seventh time this season the Coalfield, Tenn., product has led the Chanticleer in scoring. Redshirt freshman DJ Hunter finished the game with a career-high nine points.

Liberty held Coastal Carolina scoreless over the opening 6:53 of play as seven Lady Flames scored to build a 15-0 lead. Katelyn Connor finally put the Chanticleers on the board at the 13:07 mark with a jumper from the elbow. Coastal then notched five quick points thanks to a NBA-range 3-pointer by Shatia Cole and coast-to-coast steal and layup by Connor, trimming the deficit to 21-7 at the 11:37 mark.

The Chants continued to struggle from the field through the remainder of the half, only finding the bottom of the basket six more times. Liberty had little trouble scoring as the Lady Flames finished the half on a 27-12 run to take a 48-19 lead into the locker rooms.

Coastal refused to fold in the second half, winning the period 29-28 on the strength of 11 points Jordan and five by Hunter. Liberty, who led by at least 25 points through the entirety of the half, pulled out to a game-high 35-point lead on a pair of Katelyn Adams free throws with 9:49 showing on the clock before Coastal closed the game on a 17-10 scoring run.

For the game, Coastal Carolina shot 19-of-56 (33.9 percent) and totaled 28 rebounds and 10 steals. The Lady Flames shot 27-of-57 (47.4 percent) from the floor for the game and held a commanding 40-20 advantage in points in the paint.

Coastal Carolina returns to the road for its next two games, traveling to Radford for a 7 p.m. tip on Thursday followed by the program's first trip to newly minted Big South member Longwood on Saturday. The Chants split the season series with Radford last season and have not played Longwood since the 1985-86 season.
