CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - Fueled by double-digit scoring performances by Josh Cameron, Shivaughn Wiggins and Warren Gillis, the Coastal Carolina men's basketball team rolled to a 61-48 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Wednesday in the second game of the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland Bracket on a neutral court in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Coastal improves to 4-1 with the win and will face host Chattanooga in the Mainland Bracket championship game Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The game can be viewed live on the SoCon Digital Network. The loss drops ULM, which is just five days removed from sustaining an overtime loss at No. 8 Florida, to 2-2 on the season. The Warhawks will face Robert Morris in the tournament's consolation game at Noon Thursday.

Cameron, who has fully adapted to his sixth-man role, scored a game-high 17 points on five baskets, including four from three, along with a 3-of-4 effort at the free-throw line. Wiggins scored 11 points, shooting 4-of-7 from the floor and 3-of 4 at the line. Gillis pushed his active double-figure scoring streak to 26 games with a 10-point performance.

The Chanticleers built an 8-2 lead before ULM counted its first basket of the game - a 3-pointer by Nick Coppola - at the 11:01 mark of the first half. With the Chants up 15-10, Cameron got hot from behind the arc and knocked down three triples as part of a 13-9 Coastal run, pushing CCU's lead to 28-19 with 5:34 to play in the opening half.

Uros Ljeskovic scored the Chants' final five points of the half on a layup and an old-fashioned three-point play, giving the Chants a 10-point advantage at 33-23.

Coastal took advantage of its inside presence to outscore the Warhawks 16-8 in the paint and scored nine points off five forced turnovers during the opening 20 minutes of play.

Coastal opened the second half on an 8-2 run with four coming from Gillis. ULM's Justin Roberson briefly halted the Coastal scoring streak with a three from the right wing; however, Wiggins quickly regained CCU's momentum as he went coast-to-coast for a layup after picking off an errant ULM pass.

Moments later Wiggins made an acrobatic move to the basket and finished the layup to give Coastal's its largest lead of the game at 49-31 with just under 11 minutes to play. ULM then used a 7-0 run over the ensuing two minutes to cut Coastal lead to 11.

Elijah Wilson kept the Warhawks at bay with a 3-pointer from the right corner, putting Coastal back up by 14. ULM's Mack Foster then scored on a tip-in, but the Warhawks would not be able to put together a run as Cameron connected on his fourth trey of the day and converted a free-throw to put CCU up 56-40.

Coastal scored five more points throughout the remainder of the contest to provide the 61-48 final.

Coastal finished the contest hitting on 22-of-56 attempts for a 39.3 field goal percentage, while Louisiana-Monroe was just 19-of-49 (38.8 percent). The Chanticleers also controlled the paint, outscoring the Warhawks 28-22. Coastal also turned 11 ULM turnovers into 17 points.

The victory was the 750th in head coach Cliff Ellis' career. The 40-year veteran head man is now 750-438 overall and 138-89 at Coastal Carolina.
