CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team rebounded from a loss one night earlier to post a dominating 113-34 victory over Johnson & Wales at The HTC Center Thursday night.

The Chanticleers moved to 5-2 on the season while notching the third-highest point total in program history and the second-largest margin of victory, behind only the 89-point victory earlier this season against Barber-Scotia.

Stephanie Issacs led six Chants in double figures for the game, scoring 26 points on 10 of 20 shooting from the field, including 4 of 11 on 3-pointers. Anna Vogt set a career-high with 16 rebounds, while scoring 13 points for her third double-double of the season. Alexis Robinson added 15 points and 13 boards, while AJ Jordan chipped in 14 points on 7 of 11 shooting, Jas Adams contributed 13 points and Olivia Carlton finished with a career-high 11, including three 3-pointers.

As a team, Coastal shot 50 percent (41 of 82) from the field, including a season-high 11 3-pointers on 28 attempts, outrebounded Johnson & Wales 63-29, forced 25 turnovers and outscored the Wildcats 44-2 in points off of turnovers. The Chants also got 37 points from their bench as all nine players scored at least five points in the game.

The Chanticleers got off to a quick start with back-to-back 3-pointers by Isaacs and Ced Gibson on their first two possessions and then broke the game wide open with a 30-0 run over a span of 8:21 to open up 46-11 lead. Seven different Chants scored in the onslaught with Adams scoring seven straight points to cap it off. Robinson tallied six points and Isaacs, Vogt and Dionne Parker each added four. Carlton capped CCU's first-half scoring with her second 3-pointer and the Coastal led 51-19 at halftime.

CCU picked up where it left off following the breaking, scoring the first 15 points of the second half and steadily increased the lead the rest of the way. Recent addition Josie Utley, a freshman from Bloomington, Ind., scored her first collegiate points with a 3-pointer that made it 85-26. Isaacs then pushed the Chants over the century mark for the second time of the season by converting a three-point play that made it 102-32 with 3:50 remaining.

Coastal went on to shoot 56 percent in the second half. The rebounding margin of 34 for the game was the largest of the season, edging the difference of 33 against Barber-Scotia. Additionally, the Chants had 44-10 and 30-4 advantages in points in the paint and second-chance points, respectively. Ced Gibson and Parker each scored eight points, with Parker notching a career-best for the second straight night. In addition to the 25 turnovers forced, the Chants also held Barber-Scotia to 23 percent (13 of 56) shooting.

Coastal now gets a nine-day break before returning to action on Saturday, Dec. 13 when it travels to Radford for its first Big South Conference game.
