Aug. 14, 2014 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team fell to 21st-ranked Wake Forest by a 4-0 score Thursday night in its lone exhibition match.
Playing in their second exhibition game after defeating Charlotte on Tuesday, the Demon Deacons struck for three first-half goals against the Chanticleers.
Junior Faith Farley and sophomore Becca Austin combined to make 13 saves in the game for Coastal. Both goalkeepers saw action in each half, with Farley recording eight stops and Austin totaling five.
Freshman Daniella Famili had two shots for CCU, while junior Camille Christie and sophomore Ellie Taylor each had one. A total of 22 different Chants saw action in the game.
Coastal will now prepare for its season opener on Friday, Aug. 22 as it travels to Jacksonville. The Chants then play their home opener on Sunday, Aug. 24 against The Citadel.
