KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Coastal Carolina women's soccer defender Eefje Botjer has been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Association All-Southeast Region Third Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Botjer becomes the first Chanticleer to earn All-Region recognition since Hannah Miller and Sunny Sigurvinsdottir were honored in 2019.

A native of Schiffdorf, Germany, Botjer has been a cornerstone of the Chanticleer backline throughout the 2025 season. She logged 1,431 of Coastal's 1,440 total minutes, starting all 16 matches and playing the full 90 in 15 of them.

Botjer's anchored a defense that recorded four clean sheets this fall. She was also effective in the attack, contributing three assists, one in Coastal's 1-1 draw with Georgia State and two in the 2-2 comeback tie against Georgia Southern. The sophomore also added a goal against South Alabama on Sept. 18.

Earlier this postseason, Botjer was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team.
