Charleston, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team won its second straight match with a dominating 7-0 win at The Citadel on Sunday.

The win improves the Chanticleers to 2-1 on the season, while the Bulldogs drop to 1-4.

The Chants started the match with victories on all three doubles courts.

Philippe Tsangarides and Kaue Pereira were challenged by Peter Bleach and Nick Bradley on the first doubles court, but eventually pulled away for a 9-7 win. Vuk Velickovic and Rick Timmerman cruised to an 8-1 victory over Artemie Amare and Oliver Dedding at No. 2, while Jabor Al-Mutawa and Garik Yedigarian teamed up to defeat Jackson Pride and Connor Grady 8-5 at No. 3.

The Chants then proceeded to grab the remaining six singles points, each in straight sets.

Tsangarides and Pereira each posted 6-2, 6-2 victories on the first and second courts, respectively. Yedigarian downed Bleach 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3, and Velickovic dispatched Dedding 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4.

Al-Mutawa defeated Pride on the fifth court, and Hunter Whalen claimed a point on the sixth court with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Joe Bove.

The Chants play their first home match of the season at the new Coastal Carolina Tennis Facility on Jan. 31. Coastal and USC Upstate are slated to begin at noon.
