HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team wrapped its final season of competition in the Big South in historic fashion on Saturday, defeating High Point in three sets to finish its conference slate with a perfect record for the first time in program history.
The Chanticleers are the ninth team overall to go undefeated in the Big South, fifth since the conference moved to a 14-match format in 1999 and first since 2006 when Winthrop went undefeated for three straight seasons.
Coastal Carolina will enter the Big South tournament, set for Nov. 19-22 in High Point, N.C., as the number one seed after winning the conference's regular season title for the fifth time as a program, and first since 2008.
