CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team won its fourth straight match Friday afternoon, sweeping North Carolina Central in a 7-0 decision at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.

Coastal improves to 5-1 with the win.

The top two Chanticleer pairings both won by 6-1 margins, as Pedro Leme and Vuk Velickovic grabbed the win at No. 1, and Rick Timmerman and Luiz Faria followed suit at No. 2.

Coastal won by forfeit on the third doubles court as NC Central did not have enough players to field a third pairing. The same applied to the No. 6 singles match.

Sebastian Schneider won by retirement at No. 3 singles, while the remaining Chants each claimed their respective singles points in straight sets.

"I was proud of the way our players handled themselves today," said Chris Powers. "I'm looking forward to our match Sunday against one of our future Sun Belt opponents, Georgia Southern. They already have some impressive wins this spring and I'm excited to see how we compete against them."

Sunday's match versus the Eagles is set for noon at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.
