ROME, Ga. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team fell to No. 54 Old Dominion 4-1 in the quarterfinal round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Friday morning, bringing its season to a close.
- The Chants opened the match strong by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two.
- The duo of Rivers Cahill and Jack Dixon earned a 6-3 victory on court two, followed by a 6-3 win from Christopher Norlin and Eric Tripathi on court one to give Coastal an early 1-0 lead.
- Old Dominion responded in singles play, winning four courts in straight sets to clinch the match.
- Christopher Norlin fell 6-1, 6-2 on court one, while Jack Dixon dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision on court four. Curzio Manucci fell 6-4, 6-1 on court five, and Enzo Garutti was defeated 6-0, 6-4 on court six as the Monarchs secured the victory.
- Two matches on courts two and three went unfinished as Old Dominion clinched the match.
- The loss concludes a hard-fought season for Coastal Carolina, which finished with a 12-11 overall record and secured its first winning season since 2019 under head coach Chris Powers.
