Coastal Bounces Back With Win Over Wofford

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team rebounded from two straight losses with a 5-2 win over Wofford on Saturday afternoon at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.
Coastal improves to 5-3 with win, while Wofford falls to 3-2.
The Chanticleers struck first in doubles, picking up 6-2 wins on both the first and second courts to earn the opening point.
The No. 1 pairing of Libby Scott and Sara Bondar bested Cassidy Hicks and Kalli Karas, while Cari Berry and Natalie Wall topped Catherine Martin and Lauren Reid at No. 2.
The No. 3 match was suspended with Romane Delay and Marie Babayan leading 5-3.
Coastal then secured four singles points on courts 3-6.
Berry (No. 4), Delay (No. 5) and Bondary (No. 6) each won in straight sets, while Babayan snagged a three-set win on the third court over Karas.
Wofford's Martin and Hicks won on the first and second court, respectively.
Coastal plays its next three matches on the road, beginning with its Big South opener at Gardner-Webb on Feb. 27. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
