Coastal Falls to Emory in Regular Season Finale

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team fell 4-1 to Emory on Sunday at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex in its final regular match of the season.
Coastal drops to 17-6 overall with the loss.
Emory opened the match winning the doubles point on courts one and two.
Daniela Lopez and Anna Fuhr defeated Sara Bondar and Cari Berry 6-2 on the top court, while Bridget Harding and Katarina Su topped Marie Babayan and Romane Delay 6-1 on the second court.
Bondar recorded Coastal's lone point with a 6-4, 6-0 singles win over Su at No. 5.
Beatrice Rosen won by retirement at No. 4, Madison Gordon won in straight sets at No. 6 and Harding took the No. 1 match in three sets to close out the match.
Coastal enters the Big South Championship later this week as the league's third seed. The Chants face No. 6 UNC Asheville in the 3 p.m. quarterfinal on Saturday.
