Coastal Volleyball Summer Camps Information

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina Volleyball Academy will hold several sessions during summer 2016 for both individual instruction and team camps.

Elite Hitter/Setter/Serve-Pass-Defense Camps (June 7-8)
These three position camps are designed for the 3rd-12th grade player interested in two days of specialized skill training. Each camp is geared for the beginning, intermediate and advanced level volleyball player looking to specialize in a specific position. Campers will be divided onto courts in their chosen camps by skill level and experience, which will provide the appropriate learning environment.

Overnight Fee: $195 (Includes three meals, one night of housing and a camp t-shirt)
Commuter Fee: $175 (Includes two meals and a camp t-shirt)


Elite All Skills Camp (July 10-12)

This camp is designed for beginner-to-intermediate and advanced level volleyball players. The Elite All Skills Camp is the most advanced camp as it offers instructions and training in all aspects of volleyball, including the skills and techniques of serving, passing, setting, attacking, defense and blocking.

The camp will focus on developing and perfecting court movement and ball control, and advanced offensive and defensive system play will be a priority. Strong emphasis will be placed on individual skill correction will demonstrations of the right techniques, high repetition and deep understanding of the game. A wide variety of drills, games and competition will be utilized to put these skills into action.

Overnight Fee: $325 (Includes six meals, two nights of housing and a camp t-shirt)
Commuter Fee: $285 (Includes four meals and a camp t-shirt)


Team Camp 1 & Team Camp 2 (July 13-15 & July 16-18)

Both team camps will include skill and team development while placing emphasis on 6 vs. 6 play. Both team camps are identical, and will include 20% skills development, 60% team chemistry and side out drills and 20% tournament play. These competitive camp sessions provide member of varsity and junior varsity high school teams an opportunity to train together while learning and refining their volleyball skills.

There will also be two one-hour coaching clinic sessions during the team camps. Demonstrated during these sessions will be various teaching methods, as well as the progression of serving, passing, setting, blocking, hitting and defense. Team chemistry and side out drills will be shown. The clinics will run between the camp sessions, and are led by the Coastal Carolina volleyball staff.

*It is recommended to have at least eight players on each varsity and junior varsity team

Beach Volleyball Camp 1 & Beach Volleyball Camp 2 (June 13-17 & July 19-22)

Both beach volleyball camps will focus on beach training and the development of all skills require for indoor and outdoor volleyball. This camp is designed for local, regional and out of state campers. Great for players vacationing in Myrtle Beach, local athletes looking to work on their skills and advanced players looking to perfect their skills.

Campers will be divided onto courts by skill level and experience, which will provide the appropriate learning environment. Session can be purchased in advance or day-to-day, and the camp is open to all ages up to 12th grade.

Commuter Fee: $40/session (Includes a t-shirt and other camp prizes)
