CCU vs Texas State
* This will be the teams' first meeting.
* In fact, this is just the second school from the state of Texas Coastal has ever faced. The Chanticleers opened the 2016 season with a 38-14 win in Beaumont versus Lamar.
CCU Hosts Homecoming
* Coastal Carolina will cap a week's worth of Homecoming activities by hosting Texas State in football at 6 pm. (The nationally-ranked men's soccer team hosts App State Saturday at 1 pm while the volleyball team hosts Troy Friday and South Alabama Sunday.)
* Coastal is 10-4 all-time in Homecoming games and has won five straight such contests - all during the Joe Moglia era.
