GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team lost a close match on the road at UNC Greensboro Friday afternoon, falling 4-3 after UNCG captured the final point to break a 3-3 tie.

UNCG opened with the doubles point, and claimed the fifth and first singles courts. Coastal took points on the fourth, sixth and third singles courts before Macus Vidgren delivered the match-clincher for UNCG at No. 2.

UNCG captured the doubles point with a 6-3 win on the third doubles court and 7-5 victory on the first. Vuk Velickovic and Jose Ortega finished doubles with a 6-5 win at No. 2 after the point had been decided.

Coastal struck first in singles as Francesco Migliano evened the match with a straight-sets victory at No. 4.

UNCG regained the lead at No. 5, where Jack Burkill topped Ortega in straight sets.

The back-and-forth match continued at No. 6, where a straight-sets victory by Zak Talic evened the contest for a second time. The lead would not last long, however, as Connor Thompson topped Velickovic in three sets on the first court.

The deciding point was won in three sets by Vidgren, who rallied from a first-set loss to Luiz Faria to claim the final two.

Coastal has a quick turnaround, as it now heads to Duke for a 10 a.m. match Saturday morning.
