CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team shut out North Carolina Central, 7-0, Thursday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

It was Coastal's first seven-point shutout of the season, and evened the Chants' record at 7-7.

The victory was a clean sweep for the Chants, as they took all three doubles and all six singles courts.

Coastal's first and third doubles pairings of Vuk Velickovic and Luiz Faria, and Sebastian Schneider and Francesco Cori Gamero, respectively, each notched 6-2 wins.

The second court was decided 6-3 in favor of Jose Ortega and Francesco Migliano.

All six singles courts were won in straight sets.

Velickovic, Faria and Schneider claimed the top three courts in that order. Migliano took No. 5, Ortega prevailed at No. 5 and Gamero won the point at No. 6.

The Chants have a week break before making the trip to East Carolina for a 1:30 p.m. match on March 25.
