Women's Tennis Continues Win Streak vs. Charlotte

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team won its fourth straight match Saturday afternoon, defeating Charlotte 4-1 at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
Coastal (9-2) won the doubles point and, after surrendering the initial singles point, won three straight-sets singles matches to finish the match.
"The team showed great composure today, and we are really pleased that their hard work is paying off at this point of the season," said assistant coach Emma Hall.
Charlotte opened doubles with a win on the second court, where Immie Cowper and Tai Martin topped Rylie Cox and Natalie Wall, 6-1.
Sara Bondar and Marie Babayan then evened the point on the first court with a 6-2 victory, and Alexa Tiefel and Maria Khomchenko outlasted Alexandra Lee/Macy Vonderschmidt, 7-6 (4), at No. 3 to put Coastal in front, 1-0.
Megan Smith opened singles with a straight-sets win over Tiefel at No. 6 to give Charlotte its lone point of the match.
Romane Delay put Coastal back in front on the fourth court with a 6-2, 6-3 win. Cox delivered a 6-2, 6-4 victory on the top court for Coastal's third point, and Bondar delivered the match-clincher at No. 5 over Imparato, 7-6, 6-1.
Coastal returns to the Stevens Tennis Complex for a 10 a.m. match versus Richmond on Tuesday.
