CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team closed its regular season Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 loss at Georgia Southern.

The loss drops Coastal's record to 13-8 overall, and 1-2 in Sun Belt Conference matches to close the regular season.

The Eagles won the doubles point on the second and third courts, followed by singles points on courts three, four and six.

Luiz Faria and Vuk Velickovic opened the doubles round with a 6-1 victory at No. 1. The point was evened at No. 3 with a 6-1 win by Stefano Di Aloy and Artemie Amari. Diego Finklestein and Eddie Landon then won the point for the Eagles at No. 2, 6-3.

Di Aloy opened singles with a win over Sebastian Schneider at No. 3. Amari gave Georgia Southern a 3-0 lead at No. 6, and Dani Casablancas provided the match-clincher at No. 4.

All three singles points were won in straight sets.

Next up for the Chants is their first appearance in the Sun Belt Championship, set to begin with first round action in New Orleans, La., on April 20.
