• CCU and USC will meet for the fourth time in the history of the series.
• Last season the two teams met in Columbia and the Gamecocks won the game on a late three-point play 80-78.
• USC owns a 2-1 record over the Chants.
• Including tonight's action, all of the games in the series have been played in Columbia.
• The first game of the series was back in 1989, the 27-point Gamecock victory was the largest margin between the two teams in the short history.
• CCU's lone win came in 1992, an 88-74 victory.
• Tonight's game will be CCU's sixth game away from home in the team's first eight games.
• CCU will be playing its second consecutive game without the services of DeVante' Jones and
Ebrima Dibba ... Both are injured and are hoping to get back on the court sometime around the first of the year.

Zac Cuthbertson leads the Chants in scoring, rebounding, and yes, assists ... His 26 assists are a team-high and his 3.7 assists per game is eighth in the conference.
• After tonight's action, the Chants will have four games during the month of December before the Christmas break and before the start of conference play ... Two of those games will be at home and two on the road ... December play begins with CCU hosting the Hampton Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5.
