Series History: CCU leads 3-1
Last Season: CCU won 85-81 at Hampton.
• CCU and Hampton will meet for the fifth time in the history of the series.
• Last season the two teams met in Hampton,Va., and the Chanticleers were able to pull out a hotly-contested 85-81 win.
• CCU owns a 3-1 record in the series.
• This is the third time the two teams have met in Conway.
• The first game in the series came in 1995 in Conway, an 87-80 CCU victory.
• Hampton's lone win in the series came in Hampton, Va., the next season ... The Pirates came away with a 95-66 win ... the largest margin of victory in the series.
• The two teams also met twice in 2017, the first meeting came in Conway in the first round of the CBI Tournament, an 83-67 CCU win, which started them on their way all the way to the CBI Championship.
• Tonight's game will only be CCU's third game at home out of the opening nine games.

Zac Cuthbertson continues to lead the Chants in scoring, rebounding, steals and yes, assists ... His 29 assists are a team-high and his 3.6 assists per game is eighth in the conference.
• After tonight's action, the Chants will have three games remaining during the month of December before the Christmas break and before the start of conference play ... One of those games will be at home and two on the road ... December play continues with CCU Traveling to Spartanburg to face the Wofford Terriers at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9.
• The Pirates enter tonight's game with a 3-5 record.
• Hampton is 42nd in the nation in scoring, averaging 83.4 points per game.
• They have scored over 100 points two times in their first eight games; Opened the season with 110 points against Mid-Atlantic Christian and is coming off a 114-point game against Regent.
• Jermaine Marrow is the team's leading scorer at 25.5 points per game ... He is the fifth-leading scorer in the nation.
• It's the second time this season CCU has faced one of the top scorers in the nation ... Campbell's Chris Clemons leads the nation in scoring and now Jermaine Marrow ... Marrow had 18 last season against the Chants in CCU's road win.
• Kaline Fisher also averages in double-digits at 16.5 points per game ... His 17 steals is a team-high.
• Marrow has a team-leading 41 assists, and Greg Heckstall leads the team in rebounding at 7.2 per game.
• Hampton shoots 42 percent from the field and 34 percent on its three-point attempts ... They are also a strong free throw shooting team knocking down 77 percent of those.
• Hampton's defense is only allowing its opponents to shoot 39 percent from the field and they out rebound their opposition by over five per game.
• Hampton was a former member of the MEAC and this is their first season as members of the Big South.
