John's Island, S.C. - Coastal Carolina's women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Briar's Creek Invitational.

The Chanticleers shot a 305 in today's final action to finish with a 31-over 895 (293-297-305). Today's action was pushed back to a late start due to the storms that passed through the area earlier in the morning and the final 18 holes were played on a wet course.

Malene Krolboll Hansen finished the day with an even-par 72. For the tournament she shot a four-under 212 (69-71-72) and she finished the event tied for third overall. It is her fourth top-five finish this season and the 12th time in her career she has finished among the top five finishers in a tournament.

Sena Ersoy finished the event tied for 44th after finishing the tourney with a nine-over 225 (69-77-79). Stephanie Henning was only a few shots back finishing with a 13-over 229 (80-73-76). She finished tied for 55th.

Frantiska Lunackova was only two shots back of Henning with a 15-over 231 (76-77-78) where she finished the event tied for 64th. Marie Lunackova shot a 22-over 238 (79-76-83) and finished tied for 77th.

There were only two teams that finished under par with 29th-ranked North Carolina winning the event at 16-under par. Campbell University came into the event ranked 40th and joined UNC in under-par scoring finishing second at 10-under.

Next up for CCU will be the Kennesaw Hennsler Invitational. The event is hosted by Kennesaw State University and will be played at the Pinetree Golf Club March 26-27.
