CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss to East Carolina Wednesday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

Coastal falls to 6-13 with the loss, while ECU (20-4) picked up its 20th win of the season.

The Chants won the doubles point on courts two and three to take the day's first lead.

Zak Talic and Francesco Cori-Gamero won 6-4 at No. 2, while Gonzalez Achondo and Juan Castellanos won in extras, 7-6, at No. 3.

Coastal also claimed points on the top two singles courts, but ECU won the match with the bottom half of its lineup.

Luiz Faria (No. 1) and Zak Talic (No. 2) both won their respective matches in straight sets. ECU grabbed the fourth and fifth courts in two sets, and the third and sixth courts in three.

Coastal plays its final home match of the season on Friday when it hosts South Carolina State at 1 p.m. at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
