PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - No. 8 Coastal Carolina was swept by No. 1 Georgia State in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Sun Belt Men's Tennis Championship, 4-0, Friday afternoon.
Coastal Carolina finishes its 2018 season with a 6-15 overall record. Georgia State advances to face Troy in Saturday's semifinals.
Georgia State claimed the doubles point on courts two and three, and singles points on courts one, three and six.
The Panther duo of Andrei Andrukhou and Bailey Showers won the third doubles court, 6-1. Giles Hussey and McFarlane finished off the point with a 6-3 victory at No. 2.
All three of GSU's singles points were won in straight sets. Andrukhou took the No. 1 match, while Hussey and Showers won the third and sixth courts, respectively.
