Round 2 Results
Coastal Carolina's women's golf program opened the 2018-19 season with a 608 (314-294) over the first two rounds of the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate Championship.
While the Chants will enter the third round in a tie for 11
th place, it was the excitement freshman
Jenjira Jinangkul brought to the day with an ace in her first collegiate golf match. Jinangkul's hole-in-one came on the 155-yard 14
th hole. It is the fifth ace in program history and the first since the 2015 NCAA Raleigh Regional when Lena Schaffner completed the feat.
Junior
Marie Lunackova led the Chants on the opening day with a two-round total six-over 148 (78-70). Her one-under 70 during the second round was a team-best round. She enters the final round tied for 16
th.
Two first-year players, both freshmen, had solid performances.
Tiffany Arafi (77-76) and
Alexandra Naumovski (80-73) both shot 11-over 153's during the first day of action. They are tied for 48th heading into the final round.
Jinangkul finished her day shooting a 13-over 155 (79-76). She stands in a tie for 60th after the first two rounds.
Sophomore
Frantiska Lunackova shot a 16-over 158 (83-75) and is tied for 77th. Junior
Stephanie Henning, playing as an individual, had a solid day shooting a 14-over 156 (82-74). She will be tied for 67th entering tomorrow's action.
