GREENVILLE, S.C. – Playing their second tournament in less than a week, Coastal Carolina's women's golf team shot a five-over 293 during the first round of the 2018 Lady Paladin Invitational.
 
Frantiska Lunackova and Jenjira Jinangkul led the Chanticleers with even-par 72's. Jinangkul's 72 came on identical 36's on both the front and back nine. Frantiska's even par round saw her shoot a 34 on the front nine following with a 38 on the second nine holes.
 
Tiffany Arafi finished the day with a two-over 74 (38-36) while Marie Luncakova finished with a three-over 75 (36-39).
 
Alexandra Naumovski shot a 41-36 to finish five over with a 77. Stephanie Henning had solid outing finishing the first day with a two-over 74 (37-37) and Victoria Parker recorded one of her top scoring rounds of her career with a four-over 76 (38-38).
 
Frantiska Lunackova and Jinangkul enter tomorrow's second round tied for 12^th, while Tiffany Arafi and Stephanie Henning are tied for 24^th.
 
Marie Lunackova heads into the second round tied for 34^th, Victoria Parker is tied for 50^th and Alexandra Naumobski is tied for 57^th.
 
CCU recorded 15 birdies and 53 pars during the opening 18 holes. They were second in birdies to host Furman who had 16 birdies.
 
CCU will go into tomorrow's action in fourth place trailing only North Florida (287), Kennesaw State (290) and host Furman who shot a five-under 283 on its home course.  The Chants are scheduled to begin second round action at 9:45 a.m. and will tee off from hole one.
