Men's Basketball Starts Arkansas Trip at Little Rock

CONWAY – Coastal Carolina hits the road to Arkansas where they will open the road trip at Little Rock Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Opening Tip
• CCU will be on the road for the first time since its Jan. 5 game at South Alabama.
• This will be only the fifth meeting between the two programs with the Chanticleers having won all four games.
Ebrima Dibba and DeVante' Jones were both back in the starting lineup for the first time since the second game of the season.
• With those two in the starting lineup the Chants are 3-0 in those three games.
• The Chants and Little Rock had never met on the basketball court until CCU joined the Sun Belt.
• Three of the four games have been decided by seven points or less.
• CCU's 10-point win (72-62) last year in Conway was the largest scoring margin in the series.
• CCU's other home win over Little Rock was a three-point (66-63) win the series first game in 2017 ... CCU has won both games in Little Rock (82-75) in their first meeting in Arkansas and last year's 65-60 win.
• CCU is one of two Sun Belt teams to give up less than 70 points per game ... The Chants 69.6 points per game only trails Texas State's 61.9.
• The Chants are the league's second best rebounding margin team out rebounding their opponents by 5.3 per game.
• Following today's game the Chants will continue the current two-game conference road trip with a game at Arkansas State Saturday, Jan. 26 ... That game will be the Coaches vs. Cancer outing with the Coaches from both teams wearing suits and sneakers ... Opening tip is set for 5 p.m. (ET).

About Little Rock
• The Chants will go into Little Rock with the Trojans showing a 7-12 overall record and are 2-4 in Sun Belt Conference action.
• Like the Chants, Little Rock has been involved in several close games as evidenced by their averages of 77.2 points per game and the opponents averaging 77.4 points per game.
• Junior Rayjon Tucker's team-leading 19.7 points per game average is fifth in the conference ... He is also the team's top rebounder averaging 6.6 per game ... He is averaging a conference-best 35.9 minutes of playing time per outing.
• Freshman Markquis Nowell is averaging 12.6 points per game and his 73 assists is a team-high and his 4.6 assists per game is third in the conference ... He also has a team-high 25 steals.
• The Trojans have a third player averaging double figures in Nikola Maric's 10.5 points per game ... His .554 shooting percentage is a team-best and he is shooting 59 percent on his three-point attempts.
• Kris Bankston is a stopper in the middle for Little Rock ... He has 21 blocks on the season which is tied for third in the conference.
• Little Rock is third in the conference averaging 15.2 assists per game.
• As a team, the Trojans average 26.7 defensive rebounds per game, second in the Sun Belt.
• In an overtime loss (94-102) at Georgetown, the Trojans attempted 40 free throws and hit 32 of those ... Both marks are the second most for a Sun Belt team this season.
