We Use All Four Downs
• This season, head coach
Jamey Chadwell has not been afraid to leave the offense on the field on fourth downs.
Â
• The Chants are 19-of-25 (76 percent) on fourth-down attempts this year, which is second in the Sun Belt and eighth nationally.
Â
• Their 19 fourth-down conversions this season are tied for the second-most in all of FBS behind only Army's 23 conversions.
Â
• This was none-more apparent than in the Chants' last outing at Arkansas State (Nov. 16), as CCU's offense went 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) on fourth down, including converting a fourth-and-1 on their own 19-yard line in the second quarter.
Â
• The nine fourth-down tries by the Chants at Arkansas State (Nov. 16) are the most in a single game by a team this season and the most since Miami (Ohio) went for it nine times vs. Army on Oct. 20, 2018.
Â
Give Me That
• The CCU defense forced a season-high four turnovers last time out versus Arkansas State (Nov. 16), which included two interceptions and two fumbles.
• The special teams' kickoff unit also forced and recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter to give the Chants five total takeaways versus the Red Wolves.
Â
Records Watch
• Redshirt senior wide receiver
Ky'Jon Tyler is on the cusp of becoming just the 11th Chant player to record 1,000 career receiving yards in CCU history.
Â
• Tyler has amassed 933 receiving yards is only 67 reception yards away from 1,000 for his career.
Â
• Not counting his Big South-leading 1,038 rushing yards at Presbyterian College as a true freshman in 2017,
CJ Marable has rushed for 1,511 career yards over the last two seasons as a Chanticleer which ranks 10th all-time in CCU's career records book.
Â
Final Home Game
• The Chanticleers' final home game of the 2019 season will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, versus Texas State at Brooks Stadium. Game time is set for noon ET.
