Carolina Challenge Day Two (PDF)
COLUMBIA, S.C. – On Saturday, the women's track and field team wrapped up their final day of the Carolina Challenge on the campus of the University of South Carolina.
In the long jump, freshman
Kelsia Moore earned a ninth place finish in her first action of the season with a distance of 5.09 meters.
Sammy Jo Layko earned a top 15 finish in the weight throw competition with a toss of 15.53 meters.
The last event of the day a Chanticleer competed in was the 800 meters.
Alyssa LeClaire finished just outside the top 20 with a time of 2:19.77. The junior finished 21
st out of 75 runners.
Coastal Carolina will be back in action next weekend as they start the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington on Friday in Lexington, Virginia.
