Opening Tip
• Coastal Carolina's loss at Texas Arlington stopped its five-game winning streak.
• The winning streak was the longest winning streak since CCU had won seven consecutive games during the 2015-16 season.
• CCU will now look to get back on the winning trek in an environment where they have had past success.
• While Texas State has a 5-2 lead in the overall series, both of CCU's wins in the series have come in the Strahan Arena, including last season's 56-54 overtime thriller.
• When the two teams met earlier this season in Conway, Texas State won a 61-58 thriller when they hit a three-point field goal with one second left in the game.
• CCU has lost consecutive games in the series, losing last season in Conway and then dropping a game in the Sun Belt Tournament to the Bobcats in the semifinals.
• CCU's freshmen duo of DeVante Jones and Ebrima Dibba continue to get better each game ... They were the only Chants to reach double digits against Texas Arlington scoring 15 and 12 points respectively.
• CCU enters the game tied for second place, one game out of first place.
• Following today's game, the Chants have one more game on the current road trip and that will be at Appalachian State ... The two teams are scheduled to play Saturday, Feb. 16 in Boone, N.C. ... The game is set to begin at 2 p.m. (ET) and can be seen live on ESPN+.
