CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team swept Fairfield, 4-0, Tuesday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
Coastal improves to 10-5 with the win over the Chants' final nonconference opponent of the season.
The Chants took the doubles point on courts three and one. The third pairing of Lawrence Perrin and Francesco Cori won 6-1, while the first pairing of Luiz Faria and Pyry Hyrkkonen won 6-2.
Joel Popov (No. 2), Hyrkkonen (No. 3) and Gonzalo Achono (No. 5) all won in straight sets to complete the sweep.
Next up, the Chants begin Sun Belt Conference play in Alabama this weekend as they travel to Troy on Saturday before heading to South Alabama on Sunday.
