Conway, S.C. – No. 10 Coastal Carolina and UNC Wilmington will renew its regional rivalry once again this week with not one, but two midweek contests. UNCW will host the Chants on Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. ET at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C. The two teams will then turnaround and play on Wednesday night, March 27, at 6 p.m. at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C.

- Then-nationally ranked No. 19 Coastal Carolina flew out to an early 5-0 lead in the first inning to defeat the UNCW Seahawks 10-5 in midweek action at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C. on Feb. 19. The Chants have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two teams heading into play this week versus UNCW.
- The Chanticleers and Seahawks will play each other twice this week with back-to-back midweek games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Coastal is 3-2 overall in midweek contests on the season and is a perfect 2-0 at home in midweek play with back-to-back wins over Wake Forest on March 5 & 6.
- At least three different Chants rank in the top 10 in the Sun Belt in average, hits, runs batted in (RBIs) and runs scored this season. Scott McKeon (.412 - second), Parker Chavers (.369 - fifth) and Kieton Rivers (.357 - ninth) are all in the top 10 in the league in batting average, while McKeon (40 - 1st), Zach Biermann (32 - fourth) and Rivers (30 - seventh) are all in the top 10 in hits. Rivers (27 - first), Biermann (26 - second), Chavers (23 - fifth) and Kyle Skeels (21 - ninth) are all ranked in the top 10 in the Sun Belt in RBIs, while Cory Wood (31 - first), Skeels (25 - fourth) and Rivers (25 - fourth) are among the top 10 in the league in runs scored on the season.
- Coastal has scored four runs or more in a single inning a total of 16 times this season, including in posting five runs in the first inning at UNCW on Feb. 19. The Chants are 11-1-1 this season in games which they post a "big inning" and have posted at least one "big inning" in all three of their last six games.
- The Chants' offense ranks fifth nationally in both runs scored with 215 and hits with 269. Coastal also ranks third nationally in on-base percentage (.429), sixth in scoring (9.0 runs per game), seventh in slugging percentage (.493), eighth in average (.314) and ninth in hit-by-pitch (45).
- The Chants have posted a season-high six runs in an inning three times this season, all of which came in blowout wins. Coastal scored six runs in the first inning versus Wake Forest (3/6), the eighth inning at ULM (3/16) and the seventh inning at ULM (3/17).
- The players on Coastal Carolina's current roster have experienced success against the UNCW Seahawks in their time as Chants, as the Chants are 7-1 versus the Seahawks since 2015.
- Junior shortstop Scott McKeon ranks eighth among all NCAA Division I hitters in base hits with a team-high 40 base knocks on the season. McKeon, who enters play on an eight-game hitting streak, leads the Sun Belt with his 40 base hits on the season.
- The Chants' pitching staff is averaging just over nine strikeouts per nine innings this season entering play this week. Coastal is striking out on average 9.2 hitters per nine innings this season and leads the Sun Belt with 224 batters struck out overall for the year.
- Coastal Carolina's pitching staff has struck out double-digit hitters in 11 different games this season, including a season-high 14 punch-outs versus Troy (March 22) and 13 Ks in back-to-back wins over Indiana (March 3) and Wake Forest (March 5).
