Selected in the 19th round (574th pick) by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2019 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft … A 2017 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American and the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year … A 2018 Collegiate Baseball third-team All-American … A two-time All-Sun Belt pick, first-team in 2018 and second-team in 2017 … Named to the 2019 Sun Belt Championship all-tournament team … Finished his career ranked fourth in the CCU career record books in walks (143), ninth in runs scored (170), ninth in on-base percentage (.443), tied for 13th in stolen bases (53), 18th in highest stolen base percentage (.828), tied for 18th in career doubles (43) and 19th all-time in most fielding assists (266) … He also totaled 180 base hits in three seasons as a Chant … A member of the 2017-18 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll and earned a spot on the 2018-19 Sun Belt Commissioner’s List.

Lived up to preseason hype as he was tabbed the D1Baseball.com Preseason Sun Belt Freshman of the Year as well as its preseason No. 1 impact freshman for the league ... Played a role in 10 Coastal Carolina wins, scoring the game-winning run six times and having the game-winning RBI four times ... Reached base safely in 40 of his 44 games played with an at-bat, including a streak of 22-straight games from Feb. 27 to April 11 ... Ranked fourth in the league in stolen bases (0.35 per game) and 11th in walks (0.67 per game) ... Missed 11 games due to injury, but still ranked seventh in the league and 125th in the nation with 16 stolen bases ... For the season, batted .291 with 41 runs scored, 24 RBIs and an impressive .423 on-base percentage thanks to 31 walks ... Additionally was 16-of-17 in stolen bases in his rookie campaign ... Led the league with a .406 batting average and a .531 on-base percentage in conference play ... Hit .357 over his final 28 games with a .481 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage ... In game two against the Ragin' Cajuns, went 3-for-5 and hit a two-run, walk-off single to give CCU a 9-8 win ... Walked and scored in the finale ... At No. 20 Wake Forest, he hit a three-run home run to give CCU a 3-0 lead ... After getting injured versus Georgia Southern and missing nine games, he returned to the lineup as a designated hitter in games two and three at UTA, getting two hits in each game and producing the game-winning RBI in game two ... Walked and scored in the Sun Belt Tournament versus Texas State.
