Conway, S.C. – No. 16 Coastal Carolina will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in back-to-back midweek non-conference contests on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5-6 at Springs Brooks Stadium. Game one of the two-game midweek series will start on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, while game two will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

Chants Chatter
- Coastal Carolina is 10-2 this season and has won three-straight games entering play this week versus Wake Forest. However, the Chants are 0-1 versus the ACC this season having suffered a 7-6 11-inning loss to then-No. 21 NC State on Feb. 24.
- Coastal leads the overall series versus the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 21-16. The Chants swept the two-game series last season defeating the Demon Deacons 19-3 at Springs Brooks Stadium on March 7 and then upending Wake Forest 9-2 in Winston-Salem, N.C. on April 10, and have won seven out of the last 10 meetings between the two teams.
- Tuesday and Wednesday's games versus Wake Forest will be games four and five for the Chanticleers over a six-day span. CCU played three games over the weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and was off from game action on Monday before the two midweek games versus the Demon Deacons.
- Coastal Carolina's offense ranks first in the Sun Belt in a number of offensive categories including - batting average (.333), slugging percentage (.506), on-base percentage (.448), runs scored (109), hits (141), runs batted in (100), home runs (13), doubles (26), total bases (214), walks (73) and stolen bases (25).
- Four different Chanticleers rank in the top five in the Sun Belt in RBIs this season. Parker Chavers is tied for the conference lead with 15 RBIs, while Kieton Rivers is third with 14 runs batted in. Keaton Weisz is fourth in the league with 13 RBIs, while Kyle Skeels is tied for fifth with 12 RBIs.
- Coastal Carolina's pitching staff has combined to strike out 10 or more hitters in six games this season. CCU recorded 12 punch-outs versus Maryland (Feb. 16) and in the road win at UNCW (Feb. 19). The Chants also struck out 10 and 11 hitters in back-to-back wins in the doubleheader sweep of Michigan State (Feb. 22). This past weekend, Coastal fanned 11 UConn (March 2) batters and a season-high 13 versus Indian (March 3) in back-to-back wins.
- The CCU offense has registered double-digit hits in 11 of its 12 contests thus far this season, including posting 10 hits or more in each of its last five games. The Chants recorded a season-high 18 base hits in the 12-5 win over Michigan State in game two of the doubleheader on Friday (Feb. 22).
- Coastal has got off to fast starts offensively this season, scoring in the first inning in five of its eight games. The Chants has pushed across a run first before their opponent in six of their eight games this year. CCU has scored a total of 37 runs over the first three innings of play this season, including 10 runs in the first inning, 13 runs in the second inning and 14 runs in the third.

On Deck
- The Chants will venture out on a 12-day road trip, which includes seven games over that span. Coastal will fly west to Seattle on March 6 following the morning game with Wake Forest and not return to Conway until Sunday, March 17.
- CCU is slated to play three games - vs. San Diego, Washington and Oregon State - at the Seattle Baseball Showcase at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners, on March 8-10, fly back to the southeast for a midweek contest at Clemson on March 13 and then head south for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at ULM on March 15-17.
