Women’s Tennis Keeps Rolling With 4-0 Win Over NCA&T

CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team posted its third shutout in as many days Thursday morning as the Chanticleers rolled to a 4-0 sweep of North Carolina A&T at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
With its three-match winning streak the Chants even their season record at 4-4. NCA&T remains winless in 2019 at 0-8.
The shortened match began with a clean 6-0 win by Coastal's first doubles pairing of Jessie Mount and Jennifer Brown. Maria Khomchenko and Viktorija Demcenkova finished off the point with a 6-1 win at No. 3.
Alexa Tiefel extended the Chants' lead to 2-0 by taking the first singles point at No. 6, 6-2, 6-1. Khomchenko followed with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 5 to make it a 3-0 match. Brown provided the clincher by winning the second court, 6-1, 6-2.
Coastal has Friday off before playing its fourth match of the week on Saturday at College of Charleston. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m.
