Conway, S.C. – No. 19 Coastal Carolina baseball will open up its longest road swing of the season with back-to-back midweek tilts this week at Illinois on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 2-3. First pitch for both games is set for 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT at Illinois Field in Champaign, Ill.

- The two midweek games at Illinois are the first two games of a nine-game road swing for the Chanticleers, their longest consecutive streak of road games this season. Coastal will play two at Illinois (April 2 & 3), three at South Alabama (April 5-7), another midweek contest at NC State (April 10) and then wrap up the trip with a three-game conference series at Little Rock April 12-14.
- Coastal and Illinois will be meeting for the second and third times this season with the two midweek contests this week at Illinois Field. CCU defeated then-No. 25 Illinois 11-3 on day one of the CCU Baseball Tournament on March 1 at Springs Brooks Stadium.
- This week marks the third time this season that the Chants will play back-to-back midweek games on consecutive days. Coastal went 2-0 versus Wake Forest in midweek action with a 10-9 and 14-8 win on March 5 & 6, yet split two midweek tilts with UNCW on March 26 & 27 with a 5-4 loss and a 9-2 win.
- Coastal has scored four runs or more in a single inning a total of 17 times this season, including posting a season-high six runs in one inning three times. The Chants are 12-1-1 this season in games which they post a "big inning", while only allowing seven "big innings" to their opponents.
- Coastal has recorded a total of five, five-plus RBI games this season by four different players. Jake Wright has driven five or more RBIs twice this season, both of which came in wins at ULM, while Kieton Rivers, Parker Chavers, and Kyle Skeels have all registered five RBIs or more in a game this season.
- The Chants are a perfect 5-0 this season when their starting pitcher throws 6.0 innings or more on the mound. Zach McCambley is 2-0 on the season when pitching 6.0 innings or more in a start with wins over Michigan State (Feb. 22) and at ULM (March 15). Austin Kitchen is 2-0 having thrown 7.0 innings in the win versus Washington (March 9) and tossing 7.0-scoreless innings in the shutout win over Arkansas State (March 30). Anthony Veneziano went 7.0 strong innings in the win over UNCW (March 27).
- CCU has a total of seven different players that have registered 25 hits or more on the season led by Scott McKeon's team leading 44 base knocks. Kieton Rivers (38), Cameron Pearcey (36), Zach Biermann (36), Kyle Skeels (32) and Cory Wood (32) all have over 30 base hits, while Parker Chavers, who missed six games this season, has 27 hits on the year.
- Coastal's offense leads the Sun Belt in eight major offensive categories on the season. The Chants rank first in the league in batting average (.307), base on balls (160), hits (313), home runs (33), on-base percentage (.422), runs scored (239), RBIs (221) and slugging percentage (.478).
- This season, the Chants are averaging 9.4 strikeouts per nine innings this season. A total of nine different pitchers have fanned more batters than then innings pitched this season.
- Coastal Carolina's pitching staff has struck out double-digit hitters in 15 different games this season, including a season-high 14 punch-outs versus Troy (March 22) and 13 Ks in back-to-back wins over Indiana (March 3) and Wake Forest (March 5).

- Coastal will remain on the road for a three-game conference series at South Alabama on April 5-7 in Mobile, Ala.
