Charting the Chants
- Coastal Carolina is 24-16-1 overall this season but has gone just 4-6 over its last 10 games and 4-8 overall for the month of April.
- The Chants limp into play this week having gone 1-5 over their last six games, which includes a four-game losing streak, their longest since the 2014 season.

Tracking the Tar Heels
- North Carolina enters Tuesday night's game at 30-11 overall and 24-2 at home.
- The Tar Heels' lone two losses at home this season have come to VCU (Feb. 27) and Miami (March 15).
- UNC is also 17-3 in non-conference games this season with losses to VCU (Feb. 27), at Liberty (March 19) and versus South Carolina (April 16).

Chants Chatter
- Coastal Carolina and North Carolina are meeting for the only time this season on Tuesday night in Chapel Hill, N.C. The two teams have met once in each of the last three seasons with the Chanticleers winning two of those three matchups.
- The Chants are 2-2-1 versus top-25 teams this season with wins over then-No. 25 Illinois (March 1) and then-No. 2 NC State (April 10). CCU's game on Tuesday night at No. 15 nationally-ranked North Carolina will be the fifth top-25 game of the season for the Chants.
- Coastal has three different players that lead the Sun Belt in one offensive statistical category heading into play this week. Kieton Rivers leads the league in RBIs with 46 on the season, while Jake Wright is first in the Sun Belt with a .493 on-base percentage for the year. Cory Wood leads the Sun Belt in walks with 38.
- The Chanticleers had only four games at home for the entire month of April, with all four games coming last week over a four-game home-stand. Coastal hosted the College of Charleston (April 16) in midweek play and then welcomed Georgia Southern to Springs Brooks Stadium for a three-game series over the weekend with the two teams playing one game on Thursday (April 18) and a doubleheader on Saturday (April 20).
- The Chants hit a total of five home runs last weekend over the three-game conference series versus Georgia Southern (April 18 & 20). Coastal has five players with five home runs or more on the season in Parker Chavers (10), Zach Biermann (8), Kieton Rivers (8), Kyle Skeels (8) and Jake Wright (5).

When holding its opponents to six runs or less, the Chants are 16-4-1, yet are only 8-12 when allowing six runs or more.
- Coastal leads the Sun Belt in seven key offensive categories this season. The Chants are first in the league in average (.297), slugging percentage (.480), on-base percentage (.405), hits (426), runs scored (310), RBIs (289) and home runs (52).
- The Chanticleers are almost unbeatable when leading after eight innings of play. This season, Coastal is 20-0-1 when leading after eight innings of play and 2-1 when entering the ninth inning tied. However, CCU is just 2-14 overall on the year when trailing after eight innings.
- This season, the Chants are averaging 9.1 strikeouts per nine innings this season. A total of 10 different pitchers have fanned more batters than then innings pitched on the year, while the Chants also lead the Sun Belt in batters struck out with 373 overall on the season.
