Coastal Extends Winning Steak With Shutout of Georgia State

CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team won its third straight match Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 shutout of Georgia State at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
Coastal improves to 12-7 (5-2 SBC) with the win, while Georgia State falls to 7-11 (3-4 SBC).
Georgia State fielded just five student-athletes, which automatically gave Coastal a 1-0 advantage in singles and won the Chants' the first half of the doubles points.
Coastal completed the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 1 by Somer Dalla-Bona and Jennifer Brown.
Alexa Tiefel, slotted in at No. 6 singles, won that court's point by default.
Dalla-Bona picked up her second win of the day by taking the No. 3 singles point with a 6-1, 6-3 victory. Alicja Zduniak completed the sweep with a 6-2, 7-6 win at No. 5.
Coastal returns to action at the Stevens Tennis Complex on Sunday hosting Georgia Southern at 10 a.m.
