CONWAY – Coastal Carolina will travel across the state to take on the Clemson Tigers at Historic Riggs Field from the Atlantic Coast Conference for the first time since 2010 on Sunday, Aug. 25. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
The Tigers own a 2-1 series record against Coastal with all three games having been played at Clemson. The Chants claimed their lone victory in the series, Sept. 17, 2010,  a 1-0 win by virtue of a breakaway goal by freshman forward Amanda Clark (Clark's lone career goal) with seven seconds remaining on the game clock.
 
CCU fell 2-0 to North Florida on Aug. 22 to open the 2019 season. Seven Chant freshmen made their college debuts while senior transfer Callie Hawkins, and sophomore defender Caeden Price saw their first action as Chanticleers. Lauren Denning, Megan Brouse, Tori Carnevale, Aminah Johnson, Santana Pressley, Kamryn Nobles, and Gabbi Leach all saw action with Denning and Brouse each recording a shot.
 
Clemson hosted Pac-12 member Utah in the Tiger's season opener which was part of the ACC Network's launch with the game being streamed on ACCNX. The Tigers tallied a 2-0 victory over the Utes with Hal Hershfelt and Dani Antieau finding the back of the net for Clemson.
