CONWAY – The 2019-20 Coastal Carolina women's golf season begins Monday, Sept. 16 at the Glass City Invitational which will be played at the Inverness Golf Club, a par 72, 6,249-yard course located in Toledo, Ohio.

The two-day event (Sept. 16-17) will see the Chanticleers in a 13-team field which includes four teams ranked among the top-19 teams in the nation as voted on by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), and three more teams receiving votes.

Joining CCU in the field will be Florida (8
th), Northwestern (15
th), Illinois (16
th), Michigan State (19
th), Furman (RV), Baylor (RV) and Ohio State (RV).

Rounding out the field are Wisconsin, South Florida, Texas A&M, Michigan and host Toledo.

Head Coach
Katie Quinney begins her 12
th season at the helm of the Chants and the four-time conference coach of the year has assembled a team that features five returning players and four newcomers. The team also has an international flavor with all nine players coming from different countries.

Stephanie Henning (Are, Sweden) and
Alexandra Naumovski (Halton Hills, Ontario) are the two senior members this season.
Frantiska Lunackova (Tyn Nad Vitacou, Czech Republic) is the only junior representative on the team.
Tiffany Arafi (Birsfelden, Switzerland), Jennira Jinangkul (Bangkok, Thailand) and
Caitlin Evans-Brand (Plymouth, England) will round out the sophomore class.

Quinney has also added three talented freshmen to this year's team, including Mt. Pleasant, S.C. native,
Lilia Joyce. The other first-year players are
Sophia Carlson (Aalsgaarde, Denmark) and
Heidrun Hylnsdottir (Selfoss, Iceland).
